Privacy policy.

What we collect, why we collect it, who sees it, and how to get in touch if you want to see or change what we hold about you.

01

Who we are

Uno Digital Pty Ltd (ABN 20 685 598 565) is a digital marketing agency based in Brisbane, Queensland. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Uno Digital.

This policy covers personal information we collect through unodigital.com.au, through our forms, and in the course of running our business. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

02

What we collect

We only collect what we need. Depending on how you deal with us, that can include:

  • Contact form: your name, company name, email address, website, the services you’re interested in, and anything you write in your message.
  • Website audit form: your email address and the website you want us to look at.
  • Direct contact: anything you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp or social media, along with your contact details.
  • Clients: names, roles and contact details of the people we work with, billing details, and the logins or account access you give us so we can do the work.
  • Website usage: pages viewed, time on site, how you arrived, device and browser type, approximate location (city level) and an IP address. This is collected automatically through cookies and similar technology, explained below.

We don’t ask for sensitive information such as health details, and we don’t take payment card details on this website.

03

How we collect it

Most of it comes straight from you: when you fill in a form, email or call us, book a meeting, or become a client.

We also collect some information from public sources. To find businesses that might benefit from our services, we look at business websites, Google Business Profiles, business directories and professional networks such as LinkedIn. From those we may record a business name, a person’s name and role, and their published business contact details.

04

How we use it

We use personal information to:

  • reply to your enquiry and prepare quotes, proposals and audits
  • deliver the services you’ve engaged us for
  • send invoices and manage your account
  • contact businesses we think we can help (see Marketing below)
  • understand how people use our website so we can improve it
  • meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t rent or trade our contact lists.

05

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics. These tools set cookies in your browser that tell us which pages get visited, where visitors come from and whether our forms are working. We look at this in aggregate. We don’t use it to identify you personally.

If we run advertising, we may also use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure whether an ad led to an enquiry.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, and control ad personalisation in your Google ad settings.

06

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need. That includes providers of:

  • website hosting and form handling
  • customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • email, file storage and productivity tools
  • website analytics
  • invoicing and accounting software

We may also share information with our professional advisers, such as our accountant or lawyer, or where the law requires it.

07

Overseas storage

Some of our providers store or process data outside Australia, mainly in the United States. Where a provider offers an Australian data centre, we use it. Our CRM, for example, is hosted in Australia.

We choose established providers that publish their own privacy and security commitments, and we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle your information in a way that’s consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

08

Marketing

We sometimes email businesses to introduce our services, using business contact details that are published or that you’ve given us. We follow the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every marketing email tells you who it’s from and gives you a way to opt out.

If you don’t want to hear from us, reply to any email and ask, or write to info@unodigital.com.au. We’ll stop within five business days.

09

Working with client data

When we manage a client’s website, CRM, email platform or ad accounts, we may be able to see their customers’ personal information. We handle it on the client’s behalf and only to do the work we’ve been engaged for. The client’s own privacy policy governs that information. If you’re one of their customers, contact the business directly.

10

Security and retention

We store information in secure, access-controlled systems and use two-factor authentication where it’s available. Access is limited to the people on our team who need it.

We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. Financial records, for example, are kept for at least five years for tax purposes. When we no longer need something, we delete it or de-identify it.

11

Access and correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@unodigital.com.au and we’ll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first. If we can’t do what you’ve asked, for example because the law requires us to keep a record, we’ll explain why.

12

Complaints

If you think we’ve mishandled your personal information, email info@unodigital.com.au and tell us what happened. We’ll look into it and reply in writing within 30 days.

If you’re not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

13

Other websites

Our site links to other websites, including our client portal and our social media pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this one doesn’t cover them.

14

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy when the way we handle information changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
